This pop-up event space in Shoreditch was live during the 2012 London Olympics. It was installed in less than 4 days and was live for 30 days before being removed. As well as being low impact on the environment it was essential that the whole fit-out was independent and of the space being used, no fixiings to wall, floors or ceillings allowed.
During it's 30 day lifespan it was used as a gig space for artists including The Stone Roses and Chemical Brothers, a dance hall, club, chill-out lounge, games room and even as a fixed gear cycling venue.
The space was primarily designed using corrugated iron to create structure and divide the space using inspiring shapes and lines that complimented the Adidas brand. This included creating a bar area that could comfortably accommodate 50+ people, cloak rooms and lighting and sound engineering desks, DJ booth and cafe.
